Biographical Note:
Alexina Anatole is a chef, TV presenter, and writer based in London. After reaching the final of UK MasterChef in 2021, she made a brave career change from the trading floor to the food world. She has been featured on BBC One's Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, and BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme. She also runs sold-out events, including Sel, London's most intimate supper club, and Cocoa POP, a chocolate-themed pop-up with chocolatier Octavia Lamb. Alexina is of mixed heritage: the granddaughter of chicken farmers from Cambridgeshire, England, and Saint Lucian grandparents who arrived in London during the Windrush era. Review Quotes:
"Packed with everything I love! Such a clever and beautiful book."--Benjamina Ebuehi

Review Quotes:
"A really really gorgeous book."--Georgie Hayden, Sunday Brunch

Review Quotes:
"Anatole's follow-up to Bitter (2025) centers around a (presumably) fan favorite in the flavor category: sugar. But this tome quickly leads back to the point made by Anatole's first book, which is that the appeal and sophistication of cleverly composed desserts lies in the contrasting flavors they are made with, including bitterness ... Recipe pairings are thought-provoking and will be appreciated by creative and advanced bakers who aim to impress with their sophisticated knowledge of flavors that make a bake more than just sweet."--Booklist

Review Quotes:
" Sweet is a fantastic pick for those looking for sweet-based recipes with flavors and influences from around the world. There are options for every occasion from fun and inspiring baking projects to decadent cakes and make-ahead desserts perfect for entertaining."--Tara's Multicultural Table
