Great cookbook. Follows the format from the TV show. Tested and true recipes. I always check here to see how they changed or improved any recipes I'm planning.

My mom recently discovered the "America's Test Kitchen" TV show on broadcast TV and it immediately reminded her of the types of cook books that they'd made during the Depression where the government had created all of these "tried and true" recipes that would taste good regardless of whether fresh, canned, or frozen ingredients were used because supplies were so scarce and nothing could be wasted. Because of her experience with that book, the moment she heard about this book being released, she wanted a copy. And, as I mentioned in the title, when they cay "The Complete ...", they mean everything. Most publishers would cheat the customer by having the caveat of "only featuring the recipes in the episodes that have been aired to date as of this publishing date". Nope. Not this publisher. This book actually contains all of the recipes in the yet-to-be-aired shows for all of 2026; making it not just a reflection of what has already been aired but a roadmap of what they plan to showcase in the coming year. That is a tremendous amount of foresight and planning ... and actually avoids that common sentiment that, by the time a book is published, it's already out-of-date. This one is actually 1 year ahead of the game. 1 year of recipes in advance like that is quite significant and adds even more value to this book. Which is saying a lot given how relatively cheap this book is compared to how large it is and how well made it is. This isn't just a recipe book. This is a Cooking Tome and, as such, would be quite worthy of and appear very fitting if displayed on a podium-style angled book holder so the podium supports the book's weight and it's easier for the cook to change pages. Because, as thrilled as she was to get the book, the single biggest problem is that, being so expansive, it is too heavy for Mom to hold and she's had to put it on the arm of a couch to be able to look through it. Not something I would fault the publisher for because the only way to have avoided that was to have made the book more cheaply and shrunk the text too much. They really do deliver on their promise of being a complete cook book. One may just not realize just how substantial 25-years of recipes can be. So, that would be the only caveat I'd add to this for anybody considering whether or not to buy it. That, depending on a person's situation, a bookstand may not just be "highly recommended" but "absolutely necessary".

Great book for easy to follow recipes on every level of comfort. Over 1000 recipes and why they work. Beautiful photos, clear instructions, food and equipment product ratings in back. Best binding I’ve ever had on a book. It lays flat and stays open to the page you’re using. I wish all my cookbooks had this binding.

Kind of heavy but the fantastic ring binder makes it easy to use as you can open it up flat for use. I am moving soon and will take the 2 ring binder cookbooks I have along with me. Most of the rest will be donated away.
